Youth fellowship
"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in love, in faith and in purity"
- 1 Timothy 4:12
Who are we?
The Divya Shanthi Youth Fellowship also known as “Klezmers” consists of students in school and college, working young adults, single and newly married couples, who join together at least twice a week and encourage one another to praise, worship and grow in the Lord. With the support of the Church, we enjoy a conducive environment for youngsters to nurture great friendships and establish a vibrant relationship with our living and loving God.
Why Klezmers?
The term ‘Klezmer’ comes from a combination of Hebrew words - kley, meaning instrument, and zemer, meaning song; leading to say that we are called the “Instruments of God”, as we are here to be to an instrument of God and magnify His name by making great examples of ourselves.
The Fellowship
We as young believers meet on the second and fourth Sunday of every month after the morning worship service for a time of singing, sharing, and other such activities. Our fellowship time is lively, loud and laughter filled as we explore God’s goodness to each one of us and as a fellowship. We end Sunday Fellowships with a time of announcements, an offertory and a word of prayer.
In Church
Our God desires us to seek His face and not just His hands and so on every second and fourth Sunday of every month, we lead in a time of Praise and Worship in our Church. From old well known choruses to hymns and contemporary songs, we spend time on worshipping our God. God has been ministering to people during this time and all Glory be to His name alone.
